Popcorns are usually taken by those who want to increase the carbs level in the body. Popcorns have belonged to one of the major families of corns i.e., dent corns, flour corns, flint corns, sweet corns, & pod corns.

  • Potato Chips

Potato chips are thin slices of potatoes that are baked or fried until they become crispy & crunchy. Potato chips are usually served as snacks. The basic chips are salted potato chips but nowadays many varieties come in the market that is manufactured by using additional flavors, spices, herbs, cheese, natural flavors. The first potato Chips were sold on the streets and stored in big baskets & because of this, they do not stay fresh for the long run. This problem was solved with the invention of the vacuum storage technique that solved the many problems related to the packed snack foods industries. 


  • Salted Peanuts

Salted peanuts are variations of normal peanuts, which means, salt is generally applied on normal peanuts & other spices to make salted peanuts & they are roasted until salt is well settled on peanuts. 


Salted peanuts belong to the processed snack foods category. In the late 19th century, salted peanuts were sold freshly as snack-type food at carnivals, fairs, and by street sellers. The basic salted peanuts are salted & roasted in their shell, but many people also want salted peanuts with new flavors and variations too.

Trail Mix refers to the mixture of dry fruits & nuts & generally eaten as Salted snack food. Trail mix is good for snack-type food because it is light in weight, less in cost, can be stored easily, and has nutritional values which provide sustained energy & boosts up the energy level from the dry fruits & nuts in the form of carbohydrates & fats.


Trail mix is considered as a mind food ( Basically for students ) because it contains healthy fats, fiber, and protein which provides a sustained energy boost required for a student & normal person too.

Pretzels are the types of crisp biscuits or cookies that are usually baked or fried in the form of knot-like shape and mainly seasoned with salt. Other seasonings are also used in pretzels like cheese, sugar, nuts, chocolates, and cinnamon. 


The pretzels are generally brown in color because of their baking process. They came into the food market during the beginning of the 20th century and become very popular & easy making day-by-day because of machine technology.
